Hardscape Foreman
We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated foreman to lead a team in executing hardscape projects.
General Statement of Duties: Management of a crew and projects, assigning work tasks, using equipment, monitoring work quality, ensuring crew safety, training of employees, and providing performance feedback to senior leadership. Employees are responsible for securing materials, equipment and work order record-keeping for each project.
Job Responsibilities: Lead crew and ensure all best practices are followed with the installation of paver patios; stone, wood, or segmental block retaining walls and garden ponds.
- Ability to read landscape design prints and implement the landscape construction plan.
- Understands elevations and uses this knowledge to execute the construction plan
- To follow and enforce the company’s safety policies and procedures
- Review paperwork & tools required for the job prior to leaving the yard
- Properly set up a safe work zone
Operate & maintain all equipment necessary to complete assigned tasks:
- Loaders, dingos, skid-steer, chipper & tractors, Etc.
- Plate compactors, stone grinders, drills, gas and electric chop saws, demolition hammers, and jack hammers
- Ability to drive and operate truck & trailer
Leadership: Working knowledge of leadership skills, including communications, motivation, and performance feedback to achieve the project goals and targets.
- Basic skill in writing daily reports and documents.
- Ability to assign and supervise the job, crew members and inspires confidence.
- Ability to understand and follow oral instructions.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, coworkers, and the public.
- To enforce good housekeeping; Trucks, Yard/Facility and equipment.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to physically perform the basic life operational functions of climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, talking, hearing, and making repetitive motions. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Must possess a valid driver’s license.

This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working outdoors and have a strong skill set with pruning, plant installation, and leadership. Management of crew and projects, assigning work tasks, equipment operations, monitoring work quality, ensuring crew safety, training of employees, and providing performance feedback to senior leadership.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead crew and ensure all best practices are followed.
- Tree & Shrub planting; working knowledge of horticultural best practices.
- Proper pruning of trees and shrubs; working knowledge of horticultural best practices.
- Supervise and coordinate daily operations of a crew of 3 – 4 members.
- Manage crew activities at the yard and job site, ensuring smooth transitions at the beginning and end of each day.
- Review paperwork & tools required for the job prior to leaving the yard.
- Properly set up a safe work zone for each job.
- Able to follow and enforce the company’s safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with a diverse team
